Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account details you provide — name, shop name, phone number and email.
• Business data you enter — customers, orders, invoices, payments, expenses and staff records.
• Usage information — basic logs and device/browser data used to keep the service secure and improve it.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the LaundryMax service for your shop.
• To generate your bills, reports and WhatsApp messages that you choose to send.
• To provide support, prevent fraud and keep your account secure.
• To send important service updates.

3. Your customers' data

The customer information you store in LaundryMax belongs to you. We act only as a processor of that data on your behalf and use it solely to run the features you use, such as billing and reminders. You remain responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store it.

4. Service providers we use

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers below, and only to the extent needed to run the service:

• Cloud hosting and managed database — stores your live application data.
• Object storage — stores encrypted Cloud Backup files, where that feature is enabled.
• Email delivery (SMTP) — sends invoices, weekly reports and account notifications.
• SMS gateway — sends transactional SMS, where that feature is enabled.
• WhatsApp messaging — delivers the bills and statements you choose to send.

5. Where your data is stored

Our managed database and object storage are operated by cloud providers whose infrastructure may be located outside India, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards and transfer it only for the purposes described in this policy.

6. Backups

Cloud Backup is an opt-in feature that a shop enables from Settings. Where Cloud Backup is enabled for a shop, encrypted backups are created automatically and retained according to the schedule below. Where it is not enabled, no backup copies of that shop's data are created by this feature.

• Daily backups — retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted.
• Monthly backups — retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
• Pre-restore safety snapshots — a snapshot is taken automatically immediately before a restore overwrites a shop's data. These are kept outside the automatic schedule above so a mistaken restore can be undone, and are deleted on request.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords and encryption of Cloud Backup files at rest. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal-data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by applicable law.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in and to run core features. We do not use them for advertising.

9. Your rights and how to exercise them

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent for optional features such as Cloud Backup or WhatsApp messaging, at any time. Email info@laundrymax.in from your registered address, or message us on +91 98244 36736, with your shop name and registered number.

• We acknowledge every request within 2 business days.
• Data export — provided within 7 business days.
• Account closure — active data deleted within 30 days of the request.
• Backups — deleted on the retention schedule in section 6, or sooner if you ask.

10. Data retention

We keep your business data for as long as your account is active. After you close your account, active data is deleted within 30 days, and backup copies age out on the schedule in section 6. We may retain a minimal record of invoices and payments where tax or other law requires it.

11. Privacy complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data or a request, email info@laundrymax.in with the subject “Privacy complaint”. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the latest version will always be on this page with its “last updated” date.
